Bay City vs Saginaw Old Golds at World Tournament

Bay City host Old Golds in rematch of World Tourny final

BAY CITY – The Bay City Independents are meeting old friends for a grand old game.

The Independents play host to the Saginaw Old Golds at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at Carroll Park in a vintage baseball game. The contest is a rematch of the World Tournament championship game, where the Old Golds prevailed earlier this summer at Greenfield Village.
Vintage baseball is played by the rules of the 1860s, with no gloves, heavy wooden bats and a leather ball. Fans are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and attend the contest at no charge.
